First and foremost, the new banner in the top left corner supports breast cancer through the
Susan G. Komen Foundation -- an organization which has been developing fundraisers, fostering awareness and donating funds to research for over 20 years. Clicking the link redirects you to the official Susan G. Komen website, wherein you can donate directly.
I'll soon have a permanent link to the
BreastCancerResearchFoundation as well. They are a smaller group, but the turnaround-rate per dollar is no less than 85%.
Awareness is important, but research is key.
With that serious note aside, let's move on!
Yah know, it truly warms my soul like an oversized cup of Starbucks to see inspirational testimonials in the Saybox. Jon C, my thoughts and prayers extend out to you in your time of Xanga retreat.
*steps back* woah. that rolled off the fingers.
place a dollar in the cup on your way out, son.
sooo yeah. Updating has recommenced.
I try to abstain from posting unless I have something really important to say...
which is never but I'll at least
attempt to do my civic duty and entertain a few bored souls with any miserable cotton-spawned antics that occur.
Speaking of civic duty...

This is my blog.

So I, feeling like a "darned good" citizen of Sterlington, decided I would grace the meeting with my presence. What I failed to realize was that said meeting was not a
town meeting... rather a special session constructed for the "Sterlington Beautification Committee".
Now, every instinct told me to leave immediately... but they were old women.
Old women.
In case it hasn't clicked yet, old women smell of freshly baked cookies.
The chubby child in me clung to the sides of the metal chair with every ounce of strength.
Long story short, I am now a member.
...giving them project ideas for a grant.
Don't ask me how it happened.
Possibly because I used the words "charming" and "gazebo" in the same sentence?
*sigh*
I squeaked out a grin as they extended me an invitation to their weekly luncheons.
what was I supposed to do?
They smelled like cookies. As you might have noticed, the blog is undergoing some changes. Because I am NOT a computer science major and do NOT intend to enlist the help of one (yes, I'm just that stubborn) things will probably be slow to progress. Though the way my mind changes these days, ¿WtH? might be "undergoing changes" indefinitely.
we'll see.
indefinitely. what a wonderful word.
In fact, in
definitely is the new "Political word of the day".

Indefini...
I wonder if utilizing ketone bodies rather than food-sustained glucose could aid in cognitive clarity and focus.
hmm.
I'll get back to you guys.
