Still working on the cruise post - swear I haven't abandoned.
tonight I just had the urge to click [CREATE] instead of returning to a dead point in time.
hmm.
today was rather nice. woke up around 7ish for no good reason, made an appearance at church, goofed off with Cole (I never sit by you for a reason!!), drove home.
But here is where I'd like to stop - if only for a moment. As I was driving home (first time driving in quite some time), it was as if everything was in slow motion. Seriously - for just a second - everything was right. The world was in perfect harmony. Each leaf left it's assigned spot on the tree with such assurance...the tall grass swayed precisely in rhythm with my heartbeat. Indescribable feeling. No sounds...edges softened. Almost as if...this blur we call life stopped and allowed me to see how beautiful it really is.
The recent UL freshmen orientation left me a little unnerved. But this...today...this feeling was of perfect symmetry. Perfect order. Though brief, these series of images will forever be burned into my memory. Like the perfect ending to a good book.
hmmm.
Then I entered the house, and this happily freefalling egg smashed into the ground.
As a child, I would swear that our house was haunted.
No matter what...there's always a tense aura in here. Not 'oh my god, I hear chains dragging in the attic', just...tense. Especially when you're alone.

So one of my new favorite pastimes since acquiring DSL is downloading movies. Though I had to fight the system, stick it to the man (multiple times), and search the web high and low to deal with these demon-spawned codecs...I triumphed.
.avi is mine.
(Also a special thanks to my DivX player 2.5.3-RADEON, and Gspot freeware)
Tonight was Clockwork Orange. You can watch that movie 15 times and still walk away feeling totally ////// up. Kubrick...you weird little man.
Tomorrow: Moulin Rouge.

I'm finished blogging for tonight. Yes, that's right children - I'm FINISHED, not DONE.
as always,
